The birthday I dread more than my own, is that of my baby. Each year

she continues to do what I had her for that is to help me appreciate more, enjoy more,

laugh more and remeber what matters most. All children are a gift from God and

should be cherished. I feel so blessed to have Emery in my life she is truly an angel and I love being her mom.

Words can't describe what an amazing boy he is. I feel so blessed to

be his mom. He is so caring, swee,t concerned, and sincere. He truly wants

to make every proud. So wonderful with his sisters, and me. Aiden loves his Lego's and

being in scouts. He wllingly goes to piano and does soccor. His greatest wish is to do karate( mom is still trying to find

time.) I can't control time, or the tears I shed as my kids grow, but I thoroughly

enjoy every day with them. I am so blessed!

One of the perks of living in Boise is the mild winters. Yes it gets cold but

not very cold. About once a year we get dumped on. You have to get out and enjoy
it cause it dosen't last long, and we did, it was great! Now we have to wait till next

year.

This was such a great Christmas. We had our first Christmas at mom and dad's new house. We also were lucky to have both grandparents to celebrate with. We spent the day in Emmett making cookies, opening presents, eating good food and playing minute to win it games. We had lots of fun and were home in plenty of time to have our own family time to remember our savior. After putting the kids to bed and getting things ready for the big day we realized we had left our video camera and camera in Emmett, (which is 45 min away). Not being able to capture the magic on video was more than I could bear. Justin realizing my dismay offered to drive back to Emmett and save the Christmas memories. What a great guy, he truly saved Christmas for me.

She will always be my little Christmas baby. What a great gift, she is such sweet a girl. Gentle tempered, whether she is mad, tired, or just sad it all comes from tears. She is such a funny girl too, always making us laugh. The other day in church she rushed down the pew to tattle on daddy who she thought was playing "angry birds" he really had the hymns on. But if she sees an Iphone she thinks it's angry birds. Also taking on her Christmas heritage she told me the other day that she wanted her last name to be Christmas. Waiting for her hair to grow, and idealizing Alayna she is a wonderful part of our family.

This is my little ballerina, otherwise known as "stone cold" she was so nervous and stubborn she didn't crack a smile or move a muscle during her whole performance. It was hilarious. Kids are so funny. Needless to say her dancing career has been put on hold until she is a little more ready.

This is a silly little girl. She is so spoiled and sassy. She is almost 2 and hasn't uttered most toddlers fav word "no", because she has never heard the world no before. Everyone gives her everything she want's were in big trouble when the terrible two's hit!

What a great bunch of kids. I love being there mom and seeing them change and grow they are so amazing. Taeya was so ready to start 5th grade she is my social bug. She loves to be with her friends and just loves to learn. She is starting her 2nd yr in violin and her fourth yr of piano. Aiden was kinda excited but now that it is in full swing he is enjoying 3rd grade. He gets a little bummed about the lack of free time. With soccor, piano, and scouts he is pretty busy but is doing great. It's Alayna first year of all day school. It is a little hard for her to be away from me and her little sisters. She gets a little teary after school when she finds out what she missed out on at home. One day she came home was quite upset that Kensley got little chickens (walmart's popcorn chkn) she had to cry over that a little bit. She also started her first year of ballet and is having fun with that. As for the Kenz and Emery they are learning to play together and build there own little friendship. Kenzly is enjoying the role as the big sister and loves our alone time in the afternoon when we do her preschool lessons. I am defeinetly liking the quiet in the house, but the after school chaos is overwhelming. But that is also the stage we are in now just being busy and enjoying the moment.

I decided to make a goal this year to take my family camping. After coordinating with my whole family and delegating a bit we actually had a family camp out. I can't believe the work it takes to get it all done. But it was worth it . We had a great time and the kids had a ball. I had fun to thanks to Rebecca who kept Emery for me which was a great relief and made it so I could relax and enjoy nature (not). Gratefully nothing went wrong and we made it home alive but not without our fair share of sqeeter bites. Thank you family for helping us camp couldn't have done it without you veterans.

So now she's 10 so exciting. I can't beleive what a beautiful girl she is. Just this past year she has started cooking, babysiting, and has become such a helper. She sometimes is almost too helpful. Very good with her little sisters and wants to grow up so fast it makes me sad. We had a great day celebrating and enjoyed spoiling her.

Now a big 6 year old with missing teeth. She has become a busy little helper with a huge personality. We can't imagine life without her. She is spunky and finally sweet and loves to take care of her little sisters. We had a great day spoiling her with attention. She was determined to make her own cake and she did, but just didn't have the patience to wait for her party to taste it. So we had to do some repairs but all was well.

This little angel came into our lives one year ago. I have to say how lucky I feel having her in our family. She is my bonus baby I can't explain how I feel about her other than it's like getting an extra scoop of ice creme or finding cash in pocket you forgot about, or finding out somethings on sale you were already going to buy. Small and simple joys is what she is. When I look in her eyes she looks at me like she has a secret to tell. It took a leap of faith to have her and she has truly been a blessing.

So I'm already crying while posting today. I just can't take how fast the years are flying by. Here is my boy turning eight. He is so hansome and growing so fast. Aiden has the sweetest little spirit he literally wants to do the right thing and I am so proud of him. He was my only surprise baby and I am so glad he's mine. He is a mama's boy. His first day of scouts was so exciting he looks so great in his uniform I just can't imagine the tears when he gets on his first missionary tag whaaaaa. I guess that's why it's so important to live in the moment cause the moments come and they go. I love you Aiden and I'm so proud of you.

As a parent these are the moments that take your breath away. Watching your child accomplish something all on their own is so awesome. Taeya wanted to do violin this year I was reluctant thinking it would be a waste of time. But she had the desire and has done it all on her, no pressure from me. I was so emotional at her recital cause she was so beautiful and I can't believe how fast time flies. It's hard to let them grow up but then it's so rewarding to.

Three years ago I was given the best Christmas presant ever, my little Kensley. She is my girliest girly girl yet. She loves to dress up and twirl and put makeup on. She won't wear anything but dresses and nightgowns. Despite her lack of hair she loves to curl it and style it. Her aunt Julie gave her some strawberry shortcake hair extensions that she loves. She is so special and sweet her own little person. What would do without her.

We had great start to Dec. A snow day and more snow than we have ever had in 11 years living in Boise. The cousins had a great time building forts. It was a great day.

Oh the tradition of the gingerbread house. We finally got smart and hot glued the house together so we didn't have the usual collapsing. It worked great and we had a lot of fun.

The kids love decorating their tree. It's fun to get all their special ornaments out. We love Christmas

Emery is changing so much she is starting to scoot around

We always make witches brew the kids love it Aiden still refuses to taste it. He won't touch green eggs on st patricks day either.

We did our first family corn maze. It was great until

Justin and the big kids went back in for another run and got completly lost. They had to poke out of the maze and hike around it to get back. Of course it was Taeya's suggestion women are so smart. The boys were determined to walk around in circles all night.

We didn't go in for the second run and had a great time snuggling around the bon fire.

Taeya had her drama performance and did great she was a librarian.

Yeah for soccor. Aiden has done really well this year it's fun to actually see them trying to pass and stuff instead of a pack of boys in a clump furiously kicking at each other.

This was are great pumpkin harvest this year I think we got 10 in all. Nothing like our first year when we had 52. But better than last with 0. We were happy to just have enough to carve. We'll see what we get next year.

Someone has taken all the hearts in our family. She is absolutely the sweetest thing ever. I am just soakin her up. I wish I could have realized what was really important as a first time mother compared to now. These little ones grow up so fast and it is truly a time to cherish. I feel like the book ( a monster at the end of this book) and wish I could nail the days down and keep tomorrow from coming. As a little girl I couldn't wait to grow up and be a mother. Now that I am I Just count my many blessings that I am able to one.

Poor Kensley loves to dress up she loves to be a princess and is obsessed with her dress up shoes. She would wear them everywhere if she could. How sad it was when her favorite shoe broke she sat and tried to fix it for a minute and began to cry.(like any true women when the favorite shoes break) Another struggle is her lack of hair unlike her sisters this has been a challenge for her. When they line up to get there hair done she is right behind them frustrated that she can't have the styles they do. She is always combing and twisting her hair, she loves to cover it with lotion and always has a headband in. So funny

O.k so I usually refrain from being to cheesy or unrealistic about life on my blog. Recently though I have been praying for a lot of people who are struggling. It seems lately there have been a lot of sad and trying times for people. I have admired there strength and optimism. It has helped me remember how important it is to have gratitude for what we have, and to live for today. So like any mother who spends 110% of there day in service to there children, I have been trying to slow down and take it all in. They are so fun and I have been so blessed with their sweet lives. How fast time goes by and how short they are really with us, has helped me remember that there will be time when I can shower again without someone asking me to make them a sandwich, sleep will someday be interrupted with leg aches and nightmares and barf, going somewhere will be unhindered with car seats and strollers and snacks, things will stay clean and organized. But for now this is life and I love it.

Now they are Emery at 4mo and Maverick at 6mo. It is astonishing how fast but gradual they grow. If only we could remember more of each stage. So fun and cute they are now. Emery has been by far my easiest and most laid back baby. I hope she remains to be so sweet and calm.

Wow here it is the end of the school year. I can't believe it, Alayna however celebrated another

fabulous preschool year. What a great time she had, and of course next to her best pal Rhett. It makes me so happy to have great teachers who take so much time and effort to give my children a great experience. Now it's off to kindergarten which always makes me cry. I wish life was like the movie Click and we could pause and rewind the wonderful things in our lives that seem to slip by so quickly.

How exciting this past week has been. My baby brother Jake has come home from his mission. It was so awesome, we all waited at the airport for his arrival. It was crazy there was a huge lighting storm and he had to sit outside for and hour while we were on yards away waiting for him. I guess it made all the more exciting. He looks great and has grown so much I can't believe how emotional it has been for our whole family. We have all grown over the past two years. I love my family so much and enjoy being with them all. What a great thing families are the love and support is so wonderful. We had a great week playing and celebrating together. The Lord truly knows how important family is and how it can bless us forever. I am grateful to have been born into such a phenomenal family. I hope to raise my family to pattern the same friendships and support that we've had. I love you all and look forward to many more awesome celebrations together. And a thanks to Jake for his service and example for us all.

Thanks to some amazing visitors our spring break

was deightful. We had so much fun shopping, eating , and pamering ourselves. My kids were so entertained by their addoptive cousins(to bad they don't live here anymore). As usual it was freezing the whole week. Easter was really cold and windy, but kids are so tuff they still enjoyed the easter egg hunt. It was so relaxing just staying home and watching confrence which was amazing. Couldn't ask for anything more ( well winning the lottery would always top anything off). Thanks agian to Becca Caeligh and Mac for making the long journey over here we love you.

Emery is two months old now, It's so much more heartbreaking

when it is your last. She is 10 lbs now and is growing great.

Thanks to Grandma Karen for the adorable monogram towel. We love it!

Things are really busy with five kids but I'm surprised buy how we manage through. I have to slow down and laugh alot, especially when it comes to dealing with Kensley(Miss Independent) . It's funny how easily we forget the terrible two's just like we forget being pregnant. Yesterday in church Aiden learned that "Fast Sunday" doesn't mean we get out of church early. It was funny he was slightly disappointed.

Yeah! Kens is using the potty now. She just decided to one night and has done so good. She is my youngest yet, but she want's so bad to be like the other kids. This is great I wasn't looking forward to two in diapers so this was an early surprise. So proud of you Kensley.

Wow what a big family we have. It's just starting

to sink in that we have five kids. So far so good, Emery is a great baby with a real

calm temperment(I hope I did'nt jinx myslef). And with three other Mommy's all her needs are met quite quickly. I can't believe it's been six weeks already. We had great blessing day, lots of family support thanks to everyone that came.

We had a crazy weekend, Friday we celebrated Aiden's big #7 we had a star wars

party. I'm proud to say I made the storm trooper cake all myslef. I have never made a

character cake before. I usually by them. Then we made a white trash pinata It was hilarous.

So apparantly all you need to do is have a party to put you in labor. Saturday afternoon I went to the hospital and shortly after midnight she came. It was a crazy delivery, let's just say I never want to do that again. But we are proud to announce Emery Faith born Jan 24th weighing 8.4 and 21 1/2 inches long. What a big baby for 2 1/2 weeks early. Thank heavens she wasn't late.

But very healthy and doing great there is alot of being showered on her from all her sisters.

I love dressing my kids up for Christmas Sunday

Justin and I started a new tradition last year, where he gives his girls a

special piece of jewelery. It's so sweet to see how they treasure their gift from dad.

We only had one Christmas performance to attend

this year. Aiden did a great job.

And then there is always gingerbread houses

to decorate. I love Christmas the whole thing

there is such a good spirit around. I will be sad

when it's over but there is still lots of exciting things

to look forward to.

A new nephew for Christmas!

Maverick Dean Richeson was born tues Nov. 24.

I was privileged to be able to witness this beautiful

miracle. There is nothing that is more humbling than

seeing a new person enter the world. Mikelle had a great

delivery and only pushed a couple of times. I am so proud of

my little sis, she is a fabulous mother, and has two really lucky

little boys. Congratulations.

Oh the first skiff of snow. My kids were the first ones

out to roll around in the first snow of the season. And

of course it took 20 min of bundling, and then they were

only out there for 10min. Even Kenz had to explore the

snow. Oh to be a kid again, and not care that your hands

are numb. You never know this could be the only snow

for boise. So get it while lasts.

So a visit to Gram's is always a treat. My kids love

going there. They also love to ride g-pas horses. Which

usually is a very controled safe event. Not this trip, I look

out the window and there they are my children bare back with slight supervision

at times. I discussed with g-pa how I didn't feel o.k. with this form

they just carry the kids around like a pillow. I was still nervous

especially when after breakfast I see Alayna in the pasture alone

hugging the leg of the horse. My dad's reply oh how cute, Rosy (the horse) just loves that. Horrified I explain to Alayna that horses are not like dogs and there are

different rules when trying to hug horses. After this lecture G-pa is educating Taeya on how to

hop on the horse from the fence. Again horrified G-ma could see my strain and found a safe activity for my kids to do. All in all g-pa has some really really old horses thank heavens

So Kensley is a crazy climber. I was doing dishes and

not paying attention and when I turned around this is

what I found. I can't keep her off the counter, it's driving

me crazy she climbs all over it across the stovetop and everything.

She also is really into drawing on herself, oh joy. She keeps me

really busy right now. It's a good thing she has two other mothers

to help reign her in.

We are so excited to say we will be having our fourth girl. I'm not so sure how Aiden will
survive four sisters, but he has six boy cousins to bond with. I was really hoping for another boy but I don't think any other boy would melt my heart like he does. He is true mama's boy.
So here we are getting out the pink things again.

The kids started at a year round school

this year so they went back a little earlier

than most. We will see how we like it. Taeya is

in third and A is in first. He was very sullen about

going back he doesn't think he will have enough time

to play. On the third day he pulled the sick card and

we let him stay home for the morning. I hope he starts

to adjust it is so hard to see your kids sad. After I dropped

them off I cried the whole way home. It's so bitter sweet

it's exciting to get a routine back but then dropping your

babies off at a strange place for the whole day makes you

feel so guilty. I guess that's why it's so important to live for

today.

Cherries

Last week we went out to a cherry orchard

that was huge and picked as many cherries as

we could. I couldn't believe how many we left

behind, Justin and I couldn't stop picking, but

it was pouring rain and the kids were wet and itchy

so we finally stopped. When we got home I had know

idea how much work it was gonna be. I have never canned

anything before. Justin pitted everyone of those darn things

I don't think I ever want to see another cherry for a long time.

At least they were free.

Taeya's # 8 Wow!

So Taeya is eight now. We had a great time, she wanted

to shop for her presents so me and her had a shopping day.

It was so fun we went to Olive Garden for lunch it was so

interesting just letting her buy whatever she wanted, sorry

to say she is still into her fashion glasses.

She got to pick where we went for dinner so lucky us we

went to chucky cheese.(Yeah) I can't believe my child who

made me a mother is 8. In two weeks she will be baptised

a whole new flood of emotions will arise. She is awesome,

what a great help she is to me. She loves school and is always

playing with friends.

Turning four is such a milestone. Alayna was a rough 2and3 yr old,

but is now such a fun and helpful girl. We had a great day, we went to

the waterpark, and then enjoyed celebrating with friends and family.

it brought her to tears to see it over. ( she didn't want

to wear the gown). She is so funny, she really did have

a great time. Thanks to Ms. Nicole she did a great job, I am

Seven stiches and a broken finger for Kenz

Oh man, yesterday after dinner Alayna shut Kensley's finger in the front door. I wasn't close by and Kenz pulled it out of the door causing it to almost rip off the tip of her pointer finger. It was disgusting. So thank heavens my neighbor who is a nurse was home. She drove me to the E.R.
Poor baby was screaming the whole way. I am awful when it comes to blood so I was trying to hold it together. Anyway the doctor had to put her out to stitch it back on. The x-ray showed she fractured that finger also. So now we have to go see a hand specialist. It was a long night. I had to watch American Idol in the E.R. ( Yeah Kris) Anyway Tiff came and kept me company, Julie took care of my kids and brought them home to bed. And Kirsten and Tiff came over and cleaned up the blood and put my dinner away before I got home. What great friends I have Thanks.

It's began Kensley is now a full fledge toddler.

I forget how exhausting it is. Her favs are swishing

in the toilets, playing in the trash, snooping in the pantry

and of course making sure no one is on mom's lap but her.

She has claimed her throne as the baby. If any one even Justin

tries to hug me she comes flying from any corner of the house

like a chicken protecting her nest. It's hilarious.

We have morning church so we just about make it to her normal

nap. Last Sun I thought i would try and feed her lunch before.

I went up to change real quick, and when I came down she was

out cold. How adorable, she has brought so much enjoyment into

our family.

Yeah! Grandma came and stayed with us. We love her

The kids get so excited when she comes. Hmm I wonder why

could it be that she brings a special guest. A dog guest, my kids

love this dog. It's the one only exception to my no pets in the house.

the stops. I think at some point Mack was a little overwhelmed

One of my favorite things before Christmas is dressing my kids up for Christmas Sunday.

I don't know how many more years they will let me do it so I have to enjoy it now. Especially Alayna, she doesn't want to wear anything but her dance leotard. It replaced her swimsuit that

finally disappeared in Oct. She'll put on other clothes as long as she knows she can come home to her dance leotard.

Talent week!

This week was talent week for us. Both Taeya and Aiden

had their Christmas choir performances. They of course

did great. And it was fun to watch them. Today Taeya had her

dance recital and she is really good at that. She never gets

nervous or anything she just acts like it's no big deal. I don't

know why they cram this stuff into Dec. it's just makes things

even crazier. Ohwell it's over now, and I of courseI am a proud

mother even if my pictures aren't that great, it's hard when

your juggling the other kids on your lap as well. Quite frankly

I'm exhausted, and glad that that's over with. Four kids at a dance
recital for six hours is not really that fun. I'm glad Taeya enjoyed it

that's what matters.

Kensley turned one on the 4th. I can't believe that her first year is over. It went to fast, but it has been great. She has been nothing but joy to our family. It's amazing how one little spirit can

bring our whole family closer together. There is so much fun ahead as we see her little personality coming out. I love you thanks for letting me be your mom.

A great Thanksgiving

Well we actually went somewhere to celebrate the holiday. It was really fun. We were welcomed by Gma Gpa Z . The kids had a great time at there house. They loved playing upstairs and sitting in the hot tub. We are so lucky to have such great family. Then we moved on to a day with Gpa Ross and the Crittendens. The guys had great time shooting guns, and the kids had fun playing the wii with there cousins. We had a wonderful meal. Thanks for putting up with our clan. Moving on we stopped at Gma Gpa O's, it was great to get together with the other cousins and of course the hightlight riding Gpas horses. Another delicious meal, and good times were had. Documented in the pictures is the worlds longest straw, and Kensley's first black eye. We had a great time, and fabulous weather. We had a safe trip home. The only bummer is Kensley

came home with croup and had to have breathing treatment and steroids. She's pretty sick but I think will be just fine. Thanks to all who took us in we love you.

My grandma is turning 88. What an amazing example she is to me. Every Nov. my sisters and mom and I have a girls trip to S.L.C to celebrate another year in her inspiring life. This trip she had a new genealogy book about her family. It was so wonderful to hear her talk about her life.

She has had a lot of opposition but never talks about anything but how blessed and happy she is.

I love you grandma thanks for all you've done for me.

We had a historic Halloween. For the first time in 9 yr, Justin was able to get out of work to be with us on Halloween. Aiden had been wearing his costume for a month so it was fun to be official.

It was so great to go trick or treating as a family. We started at six and were done by seven. The kids thought because it was dark outside that they were staying up late. But they were in bed by the usual time. So we had plans to watch a scary movie, but some friends dropped by with a book about the end of the world, and that was scary enough.

Oh what a sweet girl TODAY! Since we have reached the 3 1/2 mark, we seem to be having more good days than bad. I don't know if it's preschool or just growing up but she finally has more interest in toys, rather than playing in the medicine cabinet or flushing things down the toilet. We might be able to start calling her Sweet Alyana instead of Alayna the Wrong. It sure is nice to have some sweet rewards. Ahh how would it be to just pass out while we were folding laundry or something. Oh the joys of childhood.

Wow where has the month gone. Since school started we have been jam packed. I haven't had

a chance to post. We have been shoved into a very busy routine with soccor, dance, preschool, school, piano and just trying to make time for a our fabulous friends. The little girls and I have been working hard behind the scenes keeping everything intact. Kensley Alayna and I harvested the first batch of pumkins, with a dozen or so left to go. They were a big help. Aiden is doing great in soccor and like his dad likes to improve his version of the story when it comes to how many goals he's made. But we love his little team the Bobcats. He especially loves being on the same team with his cousin Landen. This month Kenz is learning to crawl, and she is making good freinds with Hampton, and Madeleine. What an adorable age it is.

They lived

Well here's proof that they lived through summer. The first day of school is always bittersweet.

Aiden started kindergarten, and not much will change for him. He spends everyday cutting, pasting, coloring, and counting. The work will continue. The only difference will be the intelligence of the instructor. Taeya on the other hand, will enjoy school just about as long as her new school clothes will take her. Well ,friends and lunch might get her a little farther. O.k. she's in second grade now, maybe the boys will help her get through the rest. And as for me my life will continue on catering to Alyana and wishing she had a GPS system to locate me. Things might be a little quieter then. All in all it's hard to see them growing up and stepping out on their own.

Truely 30something

So I am now an official 30 something. I can't beleive it, now I truly am looking for a way to

stop time. I had a great b-day. My friends and family took good care of me. My great husband spoiled me as usual, and my kids made me a cake all on their own. It was good. I was dwelling on my new age and the state of my physique, and all the excuses I have.

No 1. 4 pregnancy

No 2. too busy to exercise

No3. who can live without chocolate

No4. diet food is expensive

Then I was dreaming of how great it would be to trade bodies with a celebrity.

Hold on they have babies to , so how come I can't get a grip. Anyways, My thoughts

then moved to the gratitude list and how I wouldn't really change a thing. I'm healthy

and I can take care of my kids, and that is one of the most important things. And my husband

loves me for who I am. But I really am going to change a few things and get rid of post baby bearing body. Angelina just had twins she'll bounce back no problem. It's truly disgusting.

We took the kids to Twin Falls to view the brand new temple. What a neat experience it

was for our little family. My kids were really great and I know they could feel the spirit that

was there especially in the celestial room. It's not very often that you get to have your whole

family all together like that. Justin and I both took in that moment. I'm so

grateful for eternal families. I know they were there when Justin and I were sealed, and I hope

that we can all be together like that again. It was a fun day, we ended with the Shoshone falls.
